Why creating for a cause? “It's hard to stay silent in today's climate. It's hard not to want to fight for what's right and do our best to make this world a better place. We can all play our role. First, take a look at your skills. Identify what you're good at. Second, ask yourself how to use those skills for good. My skill is writing and I use it to help people whenever I can.”

For someone not interested in creating for a cause: “That's okay. You don't have to like my passion. I certainly hope you're passionate about making this world better but at the end of the the day you need to find what makes you happy and do it.”

To someone that wants to start creating for a cause: “Find a pen and paper and get started! If you're not getting paid to write, post it on your Instagram. Share it with your friends. Go to an open mic reading (or start one). Or if you're more passionate about doing something good, volunteer somewhere--even if it's just for a few hours.”
