Hannah Alcock: Health

For some, their passion is life or death. Read Hannah Alcock’s love for people and their health in her #PassionPreview: “From a very young age, I was always fascinated by the human body and how we were able to use it for sports, relationships, and other ways of interacting with others and the environment. From there I became a lifeguard and an EMT, truly igniting my passion for serving others in their time of need.”

Why heath? “I think as humans, we have this incredible capacity for caring for one another, especially in times of dire need. The human body is also incredible, constantly adapting and healing in response to the circumstances we put it too. I realized that I love aiding in this adaptation/ healing of the body and being a carer for those in need.”

To someone not interested in health: “First and foremost, I respect your opinion. We all have things that we are passionate about and don't always have to agree on everything throughout life. If we did, life would be so boring. However I just ask you look at things from my perspective, some people are called into certain professions due to the skills we are innately imparted with and each in very different ways, we each have value to add to society, sometimes in very unexpected ways. This just happens to be mine and I cannot wait to learn about yours.”

To someone interested in health: “The more I have become involved with the health community, the more I have began to understand how there really is something for everyone. While I am no expert by any means, but I would love to help you try and find your area of passion through healthcare.”
